Who am I, and what am I doing here?
I’m Tim, a men’s basketball beat writer for The Chronicle and college basketball fanatic. I’ve covered Duke basketball for the last two seasons, the perks including trips to various ACC arenas and Spring Break ‘07 in Buffalo! I’ve been watching college basketball pretty extensively my whole life, and I can remember most teams that have made the NCAA Tournament since 1997. I can name all 31 major conferences, over 300 of the 341 Division 1-A teams, and I regularly project the NCAA Tournament bracket for my own amusement.
I’m a junior English major (a.k.a. I’ve got PLENTY of time on my hands) from New Jersey still euphoric over the Giants’ Super Bowl victory and the Mets’ acquisition of Johan Santana.

And…don’t look at the About Me page right now. It’s going to be the same as this.
P.S. If you get the extremely vague Simpsons reference at the top of the page, we can be friends right away.

OK, the “vague Simpsons reference” that you refer to is from the episode where Marge is looking to acquire a franchise, and she comes upon a mobile picture straightening company. The guy speaking tells her that, in addition to getting a pair of straightening gloves, she will also get a book of “the most commonly asked questions, including ‘Who are you, and what are you doing here’ “. Count it!
Also, for your amusement, from one English major to another: “Me fail English? That unpossible.”
